Seneca Country Reaches Deal In Gambling Row With New York – Law360


By Andrew Westney (January 13, 2022, 7:34 PM EST) — The Seneca Nation has reached a settlement that will see the tribe once again share on line casino revenue with the state of New York soon after federal courts observed the tribe owed hundreds of thousands and thousands of dollars beneath its gambling agreement with the condition.

Under the offer declared late Wednesday, the federally recognized Seneca Nation, which operates three casinos in Western New York, will pay revenue that it experienced held back again whilst pursuing promises in federal courtroom that it didn’t owe revenue-sharing payments since its gaming compact had purportedly expired in 2016.
